FILM FESTIVALS

I have been working with Mayhem Film Festival since 2013. Mayhem takes place over four days every October and showcases the best in horror, sci-fi and cult cinema through previews, premieres, guested screenings and special events. I have worn pretty much every hat imaginable over the years, including but not limited to: producer, marketing officer, guest liaison, and festival manager.

SPECIAL EVENTS

In addition to panels and conversations, I have overseen the running of a number of special events - including UK Premieres, screenings with live scores, out-of-venue screenings, themed events, and live stage readings - ensuring events run smoothly and on time, technical requirements are met, and guests and partners are looked after. Amongst those events are:

  • Screening of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night followed by a panel discussion with Jennifer Handorf, Sabina Stent and Helen Wheatley.

  • Kier-La Janisse in conversation with Clelia McElroy, as part of the House of Psychotic Women 10th anniversary UK tour organised by Matchbox Cineclub.

  • Live stage reading of unmade Hammer script, Zeppelin V Pterodactyls, featuring six actors.

  • Preview screening of Mindhorn followed by Q&A with Julian Barratt and Simon Farnaby in conversation with Steven Sheil.

  • Screening of Mulholland Drive followed by a David Lynch-inspired party.

  • The Duke St Workshop feat. Laurence R Harvey perform Tales of HP Lovecraft.

  • Live stage reading of unmade Hammer script, The Unquenchable Thirst of Dracula, featuring eight actors and performers.

  • UK Premiere of The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence) with special guests Tom Six, Ilona Six and Dieter Laser.

  • Daughter of Horror (Dementia) + live original score by 8MM Orchestra.

  • The Unknown + live original score by 8MM Orchestra.
